Accounts Receivable Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluating and authorizing AR invoices, credit memos, and payments for a diverse array of clients and engagement types, including retainers, project-based initiatives, percent-of-media-spend fees, and passthrough prebills and postbills.

• Reconciling client passthrough expenditures across various channels.

• Overseeing and managing daily AR month-end closing activities, which includes the creation, review, and approval of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are established and adhered to, thereby maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.

• Providing management and oversight of AR processes, including onboarding new clients and preparing aging reports.

• Collaborating closely with Accounts Payable to reconcile payment batches and guarantee that vendor expenditures are accurately billed and settled.

• Leading and mentoring a team of three direct reports, encouraging professional growth and fostering a collaborative, positive culture.

• Assisting with AR collections, concentrating on expediting cash collection and managing bad debt.

• Functioning as a trusted business partner and delivering outstanding service throughout the organization.

• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of new and emerging accounting standards and evaluating their implications for the organization.

• Leading or engaging in ad hoc projects, which include process enhancements (billing and Google Sheet improvements), ensuring AR control accuracy in NetSuite, addressing client and management requests, providing audit support, and more.

• Developing and refining departmental policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, including utilizing AI tools, ChatGPT, and other software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in General Ledger accounting.

• At least three (3) years of managerial or leadership experience.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with NetSuite.

• Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Solid understanding of GAAP and current accounting trends.

• Exceptional time-management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently.

• Strong operational knowledge with a focus on process improvement and documentation.

• A positive, can-do mindset coupled with excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
