This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Accounts Receivable Associate Specialist is tasked with directly engaging with commercial, governmental, and other payers to resolve issues related to claim payments.
• Responsible for identifying and analyzing denials, payment discrepancies, and unresponsive claims, taking necessary actions to resolve claims and accounts.
• Offers support for all activities related to denials, no responses, and audits.
• Communicates directly with payers to follow up on outstanding claims, files technical and clinical appeals, resolves payment discrepancies, and ensures reimbursement is both timely and accurate.
• Collaborates with management to identify, analyze trends, and address root causes of issues within the Accounts Receivable process.
• Maintains a comprehensive understanding of both federal and state regulations, along with payer-specific requirements.
• A 2 or 4-year college degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in medical collections, physician/hospital operations, AR follow-up, denials & appeals, compliance, provider relations, or professional billing is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal communication skills are required.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing procedures and a dynamic work environment.
• Must exhibit curiosity and openness to innovation, including the use of AI, to explore improved processes and enhance patient and client experiences.
