Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the shared finance inboxes for Spreetail UK and Germany, managing and addressing all supplier invoices and finance inquiries.

• Reconcile inventory invoices with purchase orders in Linnworks, diligently investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise.

• Hold freight invoices that lack POs and work closely with merchants and suppliers until the issues are resolved.

• Upload invoices weekly into Xero for both entities, ensuring that German AP/sales invoices are submitted to Datev for audit compliance.

• Upload bank statements and reconcile all payments, AP ledgers, cashflow trackers, and supplier statements within Xero.

• Oversee credit control for all platform services accounts, tracking outstanding balances and promptly following up on overdue accounts.

• Post and allocate cash receipts, issue credit notes, maintain precise customer records, and distribute weekly credit control reports.

• Monitor and accurately generate freight recharge invoices to platform services customers in collaboration with Account Managers.

• Ensure that all processed and uploaded invoices are perfectly aligned with the P&L and Xero to assist the broader finance team during the close process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in an AP/AR or finance operations position, preferably within an e-commerce or multi-entity setting.

• Hands-on experience with Xero is essential; familiarity with Datev, Linnworks, or Dext is strongly preferred.

• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to data accuracy, with the capability to maintain and update a cashflow spreadsheet.

• Comfortable managing compliance and workflow requirements across two distinct national entities (UK and Germany).

• Outstanding communication skills for managing external partners, along with the self-motivation to handle a busy workload independently.
