Accounting Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Direct accounting operations and play a key role in achieving financial excellence.

• Supervise daily financial tasks and ensure precise reporting.

• Build a team and oversee month-end accounting duties.

• Record journal entries, conduct account analysis, and perform variance reviews.

• Finalize account reconciliations and create balance sheet rollforward schedules.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to uphold robust internal controls.

• Facilitate process enhancements through Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree with 3 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in accounting.

• Preferred fields of study include Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Possession of a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.

• Additional certifications in relevant areas are advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and financial reporting processes.

• Strong expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with financial tools such as Blackline and Hyperion is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with acute attention to detail.

• Proven leadership skills, with experience in developing and mentoring teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.

• Experience in shared services or large multinational firms is preferred.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a professional setting.

• A mindset geared towards process improvement, with the ability to identify and implement efficiencies.

• Proficiency in the English language is required; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.

• Proven track record of maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring SOX compliance.
