Accounting Specialist, Digital Back Office, Tax Clerk – E‑Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will independently oversee bookkeeping for E-commerce clients, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable for companies preparing annual financial statements, as well as those utilizing income-expenditure accounting (EÜR).

• You will ensure the complete transfer of all necessary data from popular shop systems such as Shopify, JTL, or WooCommerce, as well as from marketplaces into the accounting system.

• You will be responsible for the setup and review of the most commonly used systems in e-commerce.

• You will communicate confidently and autonomously with clients, as well as with government offices and authorities.

• You will coordinate deadlines and appointments for your client portfolio, aligning the required tasks accordingly.

• You will prepare filings and reports related to bookkeeping for our clients.

• You will prepare month-end or quarter-end closings and provide assistance with year-end preparations.

• You will have the opportunity to actively participate in the development of our internal processes.

• Successfully completed commercial training (e.g., tax clerk, certified balance sheet accountant) or equivalent vocational training/continuing education.

• Several years of professional experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on e-commerce.

• Proficient in accounting systems such as Agenda and well-versed in the most common e-commerce platforms.

• Quick understanding of digital processes.

• Self-reliant, structured, and possessing a hands-on mentality.

• Willingness to work 100% digitally, without the use of paper.
