
Accounting Manager – Non-Profit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Direct and oversee client accounting projects
• Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Create grant invoices and reports; assist in tracking the grant lifecycle
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and address inquiries
• Supervise workflows, evaluate deliverables, and mentor junior staff
• Support annual audits and collaborate with auditors
• Utilize cloud-based accounting systems to generate client outputs
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or an active CPA candidate is preferred
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, particularly with nonprofit clients
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with audits, financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Office; Sage Intacct is a plus
• Preferred experience in grant management
