Accounting Manager, E-commerce, Consumer Brands

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and implement the month-end closing process and financial reporting.

• Oversee inventory accounting, including the reconciliation of subledger to GL, write-offs, and accuracy checks.

• Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, bill payments, and payroll entries.

• Prepare and analyze financial packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, trend analysis).

• Deliver financial insights and recommendations to clients.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients (calls, presentations, ongoing communication).

• Manage and mentor 1–2 bookkeepers.

• Handle a portfolio of 5–6 clients per pod.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of comprehensive accounting experience.

• More than 2 years in a multi-client, outsourced, or consulting environment.

• Demonstrated ability to manage accounting processes from start to finish (Controller-level capability).

• Experience supervising 1–2 direct reports (bookkeepers).

• Strong background in client-facing roles (calls, presentations, communication).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

• Significant experience in e-commerce accounting.

• Practical experience with reconciliations related to Shopify and Amazon.

• Proven capability to independently manage the complete accounting cycle.

• In-depth understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).

• Direct responsibility for inventory accounting (not merely exposure).

• Exceptional client communication skills (video calls, presentations).

• Experience handling multiple clients concurrently.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Familiarity with NetSuite (preferred).

• Knowledge of fintech and accounting tools such as: Bill.com, Ramp, Mercury, Rho, Settle, Wayflyer, Gusto, Deel, JustWorks.

• Experience with inventory management systems (any of): CIN7, Fishbowl, Katana, ApparelMagic.

• Familiarity with wholesale tools (SPS Commerce is a significant advantage).
