Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist in the management of the accounting team, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.

• Supervise and evaluate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures.

• Ensure the precise documentation of financial transactions in compliance with GAAP standards.

• Examine financial statements to pinpoint trends, discrepancies, and potential opportunities.

• Direct account reconciliations for balance sheet and financial reporting purposes.

• Recognize and execute process enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.

• Create and track essential performance and quality metrics.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and analytics teams to refine reporting and processes.

• Aid in team development through coaching, training, and engagement activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience with significant analytical responsibilities.

• Proven leadership experience, including managing or mentoring team members.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and forecasting.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency with data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and financial systems.
