• Oversee all facets of accounting operations, including general ledger management and the monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and the company’s accounting policies.
• Supervise accounts payable and manage Fixed Assets, inventory, and other essential operational accounting processes.
• Prepare, assess, and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
• Handle intercompany revenue, billing, and the statutory audits of foreign subsidiaries.
• Optimize and manage the close calendar to guarantee timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting.
• Oversee bank transactions and act as a backup for payroll processing.
• Strive for a structured and efficient closing process with a target of completing month-end within 5–7 business days.
• Handle multiple workstreams and competing priorities while meeting both internal and external deadlines.
• Assist in the implementation of selected accounting tools and initiate process enhancements using AI technologies.
• Improve documentation, standard operating procedures, automation, and internal workflows to minimize manual errors, increase transparency, and support scalability.
• Facilitate integrations of key systems such as expense reimbursement, credit cards, banking, and HRIS.
• Provide timely support for annual and interim financial audits.
• Keep abreast of evolving compliance requirements.
• Support special projects related to business expansion, cost accounting, or new policy implementations.
• Coordinate effectively with offshore team members and contribute to global process alignment.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in accounting.
• CPA certification is preferred; candidates with sufficient accounting coursework to meet CPA eligibility criteria will also be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including related work in a complex or high-growth setting.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting; experience with IFRS is a plus.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
• Exceptional Excel and analytical skills; experience with reporting tools and dashboards is advantageous.
• Proven capability to be part of high-performing teams.
• Strong communication skills coupled with effective project management capabilities.
• Experience in SaaS, equipment leasing, or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with offshore teams and/or in international or multi-entity environments.
• Direct experience contributing to a 5-day close process.
