Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Leads, develops, and manages a team of accountants and analysts, promoting an ownership mentality to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.

• Manages complete accounting processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, financial reporting) across global entities, ensuring adherence to GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.

• Acts as the main point of contact between the organization and external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and overseeing the audit process.

• Initiates process improvements, automation, and cross-functional initiatives to boost efficiency and scalability.

• Offers strategic insights, mentors team members, and influences stakeholders on accounting issues in a remote and global context.

• Supervises multi-entity consolidations, supports tax compliance, and handles ad-hoc projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or an equivalent qualification is preferred).

• 5 to 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or team-lead position.

• Expertise in ERP systems, advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools; experience in multi-entity and global operations is essential.

• Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities suitable for remote, cross-cultural, and global environments.
