This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist with crucial components of the monthly closing process to guarantee prompt and precise financial reporting.
• Prepare or review journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations in accordance with company policies and US GAAP.
• Facilitate banking-related accounting activities, including cash and bank reconciliations, wire initiation and approval workflows, cash activity, and associated journal entries.
• Aid in consolidation for multiple entities, encompassing intercompany activities, eliminations, foreign currency effects, and consolidated results.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data within NetSuite and enhance system-based accounting processes and controls.
• Analyze account activities and financial outcomes, investigate irregular items, and resolve reconciling discrepancies.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal parties to organize and fulfill PBC requests.
• Spot and implement enhancements to closing, reconciliation, reporting, and various accounting processes.
• Document accounting procedures and controls, ensuring they remain current, consistent, and scalable.
• Work collaboratively across Finance and other business units in various countries and time zones.
• Share expertise, assist colleagues, and promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Manage numerous priorities and projects while ensuring accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
• Occasionally travel for team meetings, training sessions, or company events.
• 5–7 years of pertinent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or an equivalent combination of education and experience), required.
• Strong technical understanding of US GAAP and experience in researching and applying accounting guidance to business transactions.
• Practical experience with NetSuite.
• Direct experience in supporting banking-related accounting functions, including cash and bank reconciliations, wire initiation and approval workflows, cash activity, and related journal entries.
• Familiarity with CashPro or other online banking systems.
• Experience aiding in multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany activities and eliminations.
• Background in preparing or reviewing journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and handling large data sets.
• Experience assisting with external audits and coordinating PBC requests to completion.
• Capability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, juggle competing priorities and multiple projects, and produce high-quality work within deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with international teams or colleagues across different time zones.
• Public accounting experience with a Big Four firm is strongly preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience in a SaaS company, technology sector, or private-equity-backed organization is a plus.
