Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the general ledger to ensure precision and adherence to GAAP standards.

• Facilitate the month-end closing process by examining journal entries and accompanying documents, while delivering internal reporting and analysis to management.

• Assist with quarterly and year-end reporting for Oak Street Health and CVS management.

• Review account reconciliations and other analyses to guarantee accurate and complete accounting.

• Aid in maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 compliance regarding internal controls over financial reporting for essential processes.

• Create and establish accounting policies and procedures to boost efficiency and accuracy.

• Supervise and guide accounting personnel, offering mentorship and professional growth opportunities.

• Work in conjunction with various departments to align with overall business goals.

• Execute additional ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably WorkDay Finance and SAP S4.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Prior experience in a managerial role is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal skills (strongly preferred).

• Experience in Public Accounting or with Public Companies (SOX 404) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with the value-based care or SaaS industry is a plus.
