Accounting Director – Vacation Rental Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise daily accounting activities for various hospitality and vacation rental clients.

• Ensure precise and timely financial reporting, month-end closings, and reconciliations.

• Lead and mentor a team of accountants and controllers, promoting quality, accountability, and professional development.

• Create, document, and enhance accounting processes to enable efficiency and scalability.

• Manage client relationships by delivering strategic financial insights and recommendations.

• Review and guarantee compliance with GAAP and relevant tax and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with FP&A and client leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Oversee system integrations, chart of accounts setup, and automation enhancements across accounting tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is preferred.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or director-level capacity.

• Strong grasp of hospitality or property management accounting frameworks.

• Experience in Vacation Rentals or Homeowner Associations (HOAs) is favored.

• Demonstrated success in managing multi-entity consolidations and complex reporting scenarios.

• Excellent communication abilities and experience in client-facing roles.

• Proficient with accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar).
