Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Prepare journal entries and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.

• Support payroll validation and address discrepancies.

• Aid in cash tracking, treasury operations, and cash flow reporting.

• Help sustain precise accounts payable and receivable procedures.

• Create and maintain Excel-based reports and financial analyses.

• Spot discrepancies, trends, or operational inconsistencies in financial data.

• Prepare documentation and schedules for audits and compliance assessments.

• Collaborate with various teams to verify financial information and enhance reporting accuracy.

• Identify opportunities for automation or improvement in accounting and operational workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or analyst positions.

• Practical experience with general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end closing.

• Experience in supporting payroll, treasury, accounts payable, or accounts receivable is advantageous.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA coursework or partial certifications are a plus.

• Strong grasp of accounting principles (GAAP and/or IFRS).

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Conditional formatting, and financial model construction and analysis.

• Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems, with SAP preferred; QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems are also beneficial.

• Comfortable working with extensive data sets and financial reporting tools.

• Proficient in both written and spoken Spanish and English is required.
