This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver instruction on both the theoretical and practical aspects of accounting, adhering to state academic standards.
• Teach courses in various settings including classrooms, laboratories, or field environments that replicate industry conditions.
• Develop course syllabi using the provided guidelines.
• Integrate current technology into teaching practices within the classroom or lab.
• Assess students' progress towards their educational goals and objectives.
• Assign grades for all coursework promptly.
• Ensure that safety and security protocols are upheld in the respective discipline.
• Engage with students, staff, and fellow educators about instructional programs and related matters.
• Prepare and keep necessary documentation and administrative reports up to date.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the field of accounting.
• Collaborate with faculty to define, assess, and evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Submit information regarding student learning outcomes to the designated program director.
• Support the Program Director and Division Dean/Associate Dean in their initiatives.
• Aid in recruitment, retention, and job placement activities.
• Request and manage supplies and equipment as needed.
• Undertake additional assigned responsibilities.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Faculty members must have credentials that meet the standards set by relevant accrediting bodies for the assigned courses.
• Understanding of the mission of postsecondary technical education.
• Familiarity with academic course standards.
• Knowledge of the academic programs offered by the College.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Proficiency in preparing and delivering content for classroom or lab settings.
• Capability to make prompt decisions.
• Competence in using computers and job-related software applications.
• Ability to decompose larger tasks into manageable components.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Accuracy in maintaining grades.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with the public effectively.
• Proficient in both oral and written communication.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move office products and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Faculty members must respond to all emails and requests within 24 hours from Monday to Thursday and within 48 hours over the weekends (Friday to Sunday).
