Accountant – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct and review reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Prepare, analyze, and record journal entries along with necessary provisions.

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing procedures.

• Aid in the creation of financial statements and reporting packages.

• Ensure accurate accounting classification for revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity.

• Facilitate internal and external audit processes by supplying documentation, explanations, and proof.

• Execute accounting, control, and reconciliation tasks for fixed assets when applicable.

• Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, accounting, intercompany transactions, payroll, taxes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Process manual, recurring, and closing journal entries.

• Generate supporting schedules and audit documentation.

• Monitor outstanding reconciliation items and ensure their resolution.

• Engage in projects that involve the implementation or enhancement of financial and accounting systems.

• Adhere to the company’s closing schedules and defined service levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting functions.

• Familiarity with local accounting standards; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.

• Proficient in English, capable of effective verbal and written communication in a corporate setting.

• Advanced proficiency in Spanish, able to interact professionally with teams, clients, or business units in Latin America.

• Willingness to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with international teams.

• Experience with accounting reconciliations.

• Knowledge of journal entries and closing routines.

• Competence in general ledger management and report preparation.

• Proficiency in Excel, including analytical functions, pivot tables, and data processing.

• Familiarity with ERP and/or financial systems.
