Accountant I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Sales Coordinators to authorize Insertion Orders, evaluate contracts, oversee OTC projects, and coordinate with the global Revenue Assurance team.

• Oversee key components of Pinterest’s OTC process, which includes approving insertion orders, reviewing contracts, and ensuring data integrity across SFDC, Ads Manager, NetSuite, and Oracle.

• Assist in the integration of subsidiary CRM and ERP tools into Pinterest’s software ecosystem.

• Facilitate the monthly revenue close process, encompassing deferred revenue entries, revenue reporting, and reconciliations.

• Meet quarterly and annual external audit obligations.

• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 revenue-accounting standards and enhance controls.

• Support system testing aimed at process improvement and automation.

• Address system issues in collaboration with Business Operations.

• Work alongside legal and sales teams to establish a streamlined end-to-end OTC workflow.

• Assist with Sales Requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• 4–6 years of accounting experience; experience with Big 4 firms and in the industry is preferred.

• Extensive understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition regulations.

• Experience in analyzing high-volume, multi-currency transactions within a global business setting.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, Salesforce.com, and Datahub/SQL.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities; detail-oriented.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to identify, design, and implement internal controls and best practices.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• Willingness to work during Eastern or Central time zone hours; Eastern time is preferred.
