Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Record daily financial transactions within the accounting system.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all supporting documentation is included.

• Maintain precise and well-organized financial records.

• Document supplier invoices and assist with the processing of supplier payments.

• Record customer payments and keep track of receivable balances.

• Reconcile store sales with POS reports and system records.

• Review store cash deposits and investigate any discrepancies.

• Document inventory transactions and make necessary adjustments.

• Reconcile physical inventory with system records.

• Assist in stock count procedures and examine inventory variances.

• Calculate and allocate landed costs to inventory items.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.

• Aid in monthly financial closing activities.

• Support the preparation of financial schedules and reports in alignment with IFRS principles.

• Review payroll records and confirm the accuracy of payroll entries.

• Maintain VAT documentation and assist in the preparation of VAT reports in accordance with ZATCA regulations.

• Examine expense claims for completeness and compliance.

• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and store teams on financial matters.

• Facilitate improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls.

• Carry out other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience.

• Proficiency in using Odoo ERP or comparable accounting systems.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.

• Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting principles.
