Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Ensure precise maintenance of general ledger (GL) records and financial transactions.

• Oversee daily accounting operations for designated global clients.

• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, intercompany transactions, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, among others.

• Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, which include journal postings and accruals.

• Review and maintain general ledger accounts to guarantee the accuracy of financial records.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management information system (MIS) reports.

• Support tax computations, statutory filings, and compliance reporting.

• Ensure proper documentation is maintained for audit and compliance requirements.

• Facilitate communication with clients and internal teams regarding accounting and compliance issues.

• Collaborate with auditors, local advisors, and consultants concerning audits, tax, and company law compliance.

• Manage several client engagements while ensuring timely provision of accounting services.

• Provide support for urgent client deliverables and ad-hoc accounting projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Proven experience in reconciliations, journal entries, and management of general ledger.

• Familiarity with accounting ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Netsuite, Oracle, or SAP.

• Capability to work independently while handling multiple tasks efficiently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including functionalities like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial data analysis.
