📋 Description

• Account Management – 85% of the role involves managing accounts. Develop a comprehensive understanding of supply chain service lines and product offerings, including: 1) contract portfolios in non-pharmacy, pharmacy, and food sectors, 2) committed and aggregation programs, and 3) strategic supplier relationships pertinent to customers. Support the account planning process and assist in creating an outcome improvement plan for each member.

• Ensure that plans are updated monthly with documented and actualized savings, sharing this information with the account team. Position Premier as a strategic partner and gain recognition as a trusted advisor by key member contacts: Collaborate with the account team to grasp the member’s strategy, objectives, and key performance indicators (such as savings and performance goals).

• Specifically, understand organizational objectives (savings, performance goals, etc.). Participate in strategic account planning alongside the Account Executive and other customer stakeholders. Work with the account team to deliver relevant and targeted savings and financial updates for inclusion in Quarterly Business Reviews and regular update meetings.

• Foster relationships with supply chain services and business lines, including dietary, Rx, and purchased services. Generate leads for account growth to achieve fiscal year revenue targets. Drive contract penetration through savings opportunity analytics and presentations. Enhance uptake on Purchased Service, Rx, and Dietary contracting by nurturing relationships across member organizations.

• Educate members on the benefits of utilizing Premier contracts, products, and services. Manage strategic supplier and partner relationships. Maintain a thorough understanding of all revenue-generating and value-added products and services offered to the membership. Become adept at using supply chain-related tools, emphasizing the accuracy and timeliness of customer data and analytics.

• Develop a solid understanding of customer data to enhance the interpretation of analyses. Provide ongoing support for analytics aligned with contract rollouts and members’ supply chain plans. Manage member roster entities and critical customer attributes effectively. Address and resolve issues with member and supplier customers by: Collecting and documenting issues, assessing urgency, and resolving or escalating to the Account Executive and relevant stakeholders along with recommendations. Educate customers on report generation, analysis, and opportunity identification in collaboration with client services when appropriate. Contribute to the development of new and innovative strategies to maximize customer value and satisfaction while promoting business growth.

• Administrative – 10% of the role involves administrative tasks. Ensure seamless and efficient operations between the company and its members. Update monitoring and tracking tools, along with administrative reports such as Salesforce.com, time, and expense reports. Represent the interests of Client Management internally across various settings within and outside the business group. Present results and value (primarily, but not exclusively related to supply chain) at conferences, workshops, board retreats, etc.

• Participate in cross-functional teams across Premier business units and zone operations teams as requested. Understand the organizational structure and all product and service offerings. Project Management – 5% of the role involves project management. Assist with product implementation and service delivery (overall project management). Collaborate with implementation teams to comprehend project plans and work plan details, including timelines, tasks, and resources, to facilitate successful customer implementation. Engage with key stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations. May lead problem resolution efforts to meet customer expectations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Years of applicable experience: 5 or more years.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required).

• Proficiency in preparing and presenting clinical and/or financial data using Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Premier tools to communicate cost management and/or clinical performance improvement opportunities.

• Ability to conduct and facilitate management-level discussions to identify needs and demonstrate how Premier can support efforts through existing or new products.

• Strong knowledge of the challenges facing health systems in the market served.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and take personal accountability.

• Experience: 5+ years.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
