This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• The Account Specialist plays a crucial role in providing expertise in welding processes through a strong technical knowledge of filler metals and welding equipment, aimed at defending and expanding business within strategic end-user accounts.
• Serve as a consultant for the field sales team by offering the technical insights required to secure business during the account planning phase.
• Promote growth by presenting ITW solutions that create customer value through documented enhancements in weld processes.
• Collaborate with ITW welding sales personnel to pinpoint and support significant end-user conversion opportunities while safeguarding key accounts.
• Partner with ITW Welding resources and relevant channel partners to formulate strategies that align value propositions with customer needs and opportunities.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize ITW welding opportunities by understanding corporate account culture and key decision-makers.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the account profile and disseminate information for all ITW product families.
• Establish an effective production baseline and validate ITW solutions for ROI justification.
• Build professional credibility and position ITW as a strategic partner while fostering relationships with plant-level management, engineering, production, decision-makers, coaches, and influencers throughout the plant.
• Collaborate closely with CAM and regional resources to create and maintain account plans and assist in presenting annual contribution reports.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in welding technical manufacturing or sales.
• Extensive knowledge of ITW’s complete range of products, including welding equipment, filler metal, guns, fume extraction, automation, and safety products, as well as their applications in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to analyze specific account needs to develop and execute a strategic plan for business growth.
• In-depth understanding of the business dynamics within the welding industry and technical competence in the latest welding and automation technologies.
• Strategic selling capabilities with a strong command of value-added sales techniques.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive within a matrix organizational structure.
• A demonstrated history of exceptional organizational, planning, and negotiation skills, along with outstanding verbal and written communication.
• Strong business and financial acumen, particularly in understanding manufacturing processes and ITW's Toolbox or process improvement methodologies.
• Highly motivated and results-driven, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, adapting to change while consistently meeting deadlines and providing excellent follow-through.
• Proficient PC skills and aptitude.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (Salesforce.com).
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
