This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Manage all designated Commercial accounts and Strategic site-level locations (e.g., regional labs for multinationals), showcasing the complete LGC Standards portfolio across all end-markets (Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, etc.) to foster new relationships and sustain existing account connections.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, sourced from either self-generated leads through prospecting or from marketing-qualified leads.
• Engage additional members of the LGC Standards team (e.g., end market sales managers, quoting specialists, etc.) as necessary to optimally address customer needs and provide a superior customer experience.
• Collaborate with the strategic account manager to perform planning and customer reviews for pertinent sites at particular strategic accounts.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools to effectively manage prospects, current accounts, new opportunities, the active pipeline, and relevant sales forecasts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of key LGC products and their applications.
• Achieve and surpass designated sales targets for LGC Standards.
• Proactively interact with customers (e.g., via email, phone calls, in-person visits, etc.) to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow up on quotations, and drive new sales; ensure CRMs are maintained with current customer information.
• Enhance the visibility of the LGC Standards brand by organizing and participating in exhibitions, seminars, and other events, serving as a company representative during working hours.
• B.S. degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Previous successful experience in key account management, particularly with central procurement, is preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms, such as Sales Force and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is advantageous.
• Exceptional commercial awareness and planning skills.
• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a considerable advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory: NC, SC, FL, and GA.
