This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Proactively pursue new and/or targeted accounts within the assigned region to drive sales growth.
• Meet annual sales plan goals, including volume and MSP profitability targets in the designated area. Initiate necessary actions and pursue contingency plans to address any anticipated shortfalls or gaps in the sales plan.
• Establish, develop, and nurture relationships with both current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for Prime’s sourced products.
• Conduct regular telephone calls and in-person visits to both existing and prospective clients. Plan and organize office and travel time to maximize personal efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management.
• Ensure an accurate company introduction during initial visits and prospecting efforts.
• Provide a weekly written report detailing Area Market sentiment, offer availability, news, requirements, and any other pertinent information related to our business.
• Lead the commercial development of new products within the area of responsibility, following the growth strategy.
• Responsible for Area Forecasting based on sales history.
• Monthly forecasting for Performance Polymers based on project development.
• Adhere to the “Claim Management Process” to address quality and service issues, ensuring that Account Managers take ownership and follow up.
• Identify new markets, trends, or potential customers to provide sourcing input.
• Collaborate closely with logistics and finance departments to ensure that customer expectations are understood and met within the assigned region.
• Contribute to the development of the annual sales plan and ensure the achievement of sales volume and profitability objectives.
• Utilize provided tools and work closely with the Business Director, Product Manager, and Technical Managers to generate sales leads, convert leads into sales targets, and effectively manage a sales target pipeline to exceed the company’s sales goals.
• Monitor and report on competitors’ activities within the assigned region.
• Manage the territory to optimize inventory turns and minimize logistics costs such as freight, finance, storage, and demurrage.
• Enhance job knowledge and skills by participating in technical and business learning opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
• Maintain strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering discipline related to rubber.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar field.
• Fluent in both German and English.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
