This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee account management from submission to binding, ensuring all necessary documentation and communications are coordinated.
• Collaborate with brokers and underwriters to solicit, quote, and maintain both new and renewal business.
• Negotiate terms of coverage with carriers, including pricing, deductibles, enhancements, and exclusions.
• Identify suitable carriers and manage the marketing strategy for assigned accounts.
• Prepare and present quotes, coverage comparisons, and recommendations.
• Handle new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations efficiently.
• Issue binders and invoices while confirming coverage details.
• Liaise with agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure prompt execution of accounts.
• Aid retention and renewal strategies by pinpointing opportunities for coverage expansion and enhancing client relationships.
• Provide guidance to support staff as necessary to ensure an efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
• Conduct research and compile account or market analyses.
• Maintain precise records and correspondence.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier capabilities through continuous education and training.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
• Generally, at least 3+ years of progressive experience in wholesale insurance, brokerage, or underwriting support roles is required.
• Proven experience in managing accounts, marketing business, and supporting placement activities.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, coverage structures, and market dynamics.
• Capability to independently handle multiple priorities and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
• Active state insurance license is mandatory in applicable lines of business.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and carrier guidelines.
• Competence in negotiating terms and assessing coverage options.
• Effective account management skills throughout the processes of submission, quoting, binding, and renewal.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and policy/account management systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Self-sufficient with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
