Account Executive – Food, Grocery, C-Store, Restaurant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Drive market leadership for SmartSense IoT Solutions in the Food Service & Retail sector by acquiring new enterprise accounts.

• Create and nurture a strong sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, leveraging internal sales resources, personal connections, and participating in industry events.

• Oversee the sales process, organize account meetings, and utilize internal resources to support sales opportunities.

• Cultivate and maintain executive-level customer relationships within assigned accounts.

• Formulate and implement effective account strategies.

• Prepare, negotiate, and finalize contracts to secure sales.

• Achieve and surpass annual sales targets and objectives.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience.

• At least 2 years of experience selling to enterprise clients in the Food Service & Retail industry, including grocery, convenience stores, restaurants, and retail.

• Proven experience in selling value-added SaaS and/or hardware solutions within a complex purchasing landscape.

• Familiarity with a consultative, value-driven sales approach.

• Capability to build and sustain professional networks and customer relationships from executive to operational levels.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new customer prospects and engage with key decision-makers.

• Proficiency in developing, formulating, and presenting innovative sales strategies and proposals to secure enterprise-level contracts.

• Proven track record of significant sales and pipeline growth.

• Exceptional negotiation abilities.

• Must be a resident of Ontario, Canada.
