
Account Executive – Biotech, Business Development, Clinical Trials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive sales growth in the Clinical Trials Division by formulating and executing strategies for both new and existing accounts.
• Build a robust internal network that supports client success, engaging with subject-matter experts, site leadership, and client services.
• Identify prospective clients and molecules while following up on leads generated from prospecting, inside sales, business development associates, and referrals.
• Increase market share for clinical packaging, labels, distribution, storage, comparator sourcing, and clinical demand planning services.
• Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and C-suite clients.
• Forge strategic partnerships with biotech customers and influence future strategic directions.
• Collaborate with cross-divisional sales and business units within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
• Develop a comprehensive territory plan.
• Design and implement sales programs aimed at prospective clients.
• Analyze funding mechanisms, sources, and flows for emerging biotech companies.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, and seminars for brand awareness and lead generation.
• Identify and articulate value propositions and strategic service-bundling opportunities.
• Manage ongoing relationships with existing clients.
• Facilitate successful quotations and assist in contract negotiations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all relevant activities and prospective client information in the SFDC database.
• Experience in the clinical supplies industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the clinical drug development process.
• Professional experience in sales or business development within the Americas.
• Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to network with senior management.
• Experience working in a matrix environment with both clients and internal teams.
• A dynamic, highly self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Salesforce is an advantage.
• Capability to establish a functional home-office setup.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of working time within the territory, including regular overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Preferred fields of study include life sciences, business, or a related field.
