This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of a designated market and recruit new camp operators to join the US Sports Camps network across various sports.
• Promote camp services and the US Sports Camps platform to college programs, head coaches, skill trainers, clubs, academies, schools, leagues, event organizers, and facility managers.
• Analyze the assigned market, identifying potential programs, clubs, academies, trainers, schools, and facilities; assess and prioritize accounts.
• Recognize sports and regions with family interest but currently no operators.
• Investigate local competition and reputable camp operators.
• Develop an outbound pipeline through structured email and phone outreach, social media, conferences, events, campus visits, and face-to-face meetings.
• Conduct discovery sessions to comprehend coaches' seasonal schedules, facility limitations, compensation expectations, and definitions of camp success.
• Maintain and manage a pipeline that meets the sales target.
• Negotiate and finalize director agreements.
• Seamlessly transition new camps to the Camp Management Team while remaining engaged through the initial camp season.
• Keep accurate CRM records and provide thoughtful forecasts.
• Offer market insights to guide product and service enhancements.
• Transition summer focus from selling to engaging on-site at camps, connecting with families, and preparing for the following year.
• 3–6 years of outbound, new-business sales experience with a measurable quota and a proven track record of achieving it.
• Proven ability to establish a market from scratch, such as developing a new territory, segment, or vertical.
• Demonstrated strategy for mapping a market by creating, sizing, ranking, and sequencing accounts.
• Capability to present a 90-day territory plan during the finalist process.
• Full-cycle sales expertise, including prospecting, conducting meetings, negotiating, and closing deals.
• Strong CRM discipline; experience with HubSpot is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to meet operators on their campuses and observe camps in person during the season.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred but not required: collegiate or professional athletic experience or coaching background.
• Authentic enthusiasm for sports and youth development.
• Experience in selling services or platforms in a fragmented, relationship-focused market where the buyer is an operator rather than a procurement function is preferred.
• Background in youth sports, athletics, events, or a two-sided marketplace business is preferred.
• Uncapped commission structure.
• Commissions earned based on individual sales performance.
