This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee sales and account management strategies for the US Payer and Clinical Reasoning sectors to enhance successful selling to target accounts and facilitate deal closures, while efficiently identifying opportunities for growth in existing contracts.
• Create new sales leads and discover new opportunities through networking and prospecting, which includes cold calling and leveraging internal services provided to the sales team by the company (such as marketing and public relations activities).
• Guide target account selling efforts (including prospecting/lead generation, qualification and scoping, closing strategies, and negotiations).
• Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with various levels of client groups to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business goals and objectives, ensuring expectations are met and identifying opportunities for contract expansion.
• Manage and address escalated customer challenges and obstacles.
• Develop and present insightful business reviews that assess client program performance in alignment with strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate, coordinate, and actively engage in contract negotiations across commercial and regulated healthcare and insurance programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a clear understanding of client expectations and guarantee timely delivery of deliverables.
• Review regular sales performance, end-user requirements, and upcoming needs to form plans with cross-functional teams aimed at achieving contract growth.
• Quickly establish and maintain a strong network and in-depth knowledge of Smile’s products, CQL, market trends, and the customer environment.
• Collaborate with and support partners to broaden reach and drive product adoption.
• Proactively prioritize discussions related to sales and client retention.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the competitive landscape to inform win-based proposals and pricing strategies.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Smile Digital Health’s solution offerings, target customers, and product capabilities.
• Participate in and contribute to sales planning status meetings.
• Achieve or surpass established sales quotas while maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
• 8+ years of relevant sales experience within payer environments, specifically in B2B software or technology sales, demonstrating a significant impact on revenue generation while managing lengthy sales cycles and consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and targets.
• Proven ability to close large and complex contracts in the US Payer sector and to develop strategic solutions tailored to client needs.
• Previous experience consulting with a variety of organizational levels, including executives.
• Strong understanding of payer solutions within the US, encompassing commercial/employer-sponsored and government plans.
• Knowledge of how to construct and contract bundled payer/provider service models that span several areas such as value-based care, telemedicine, screening, and therapeutics.
• Capability to independently seek information, manage ambiguity, resolve complex problems, align resources, and deliver results.
• Committed to personal development and that of others; exhibits high self-awareness and continuously strives to elevate standards for oneself, the direct team, and others within Smile.
• Proficient in using software including Windows/Mac, Google Suite, and HubSpot (CRM) is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25-40% of the time.
