This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and nurture new and existing client relationships.
• Make outbound calls and deliver presentations to cultivate a targeted customer base.
• Engage in prospecting to achieve growth targets and fulfill monthly and annual sales objectives.
• Sustain and enhance product growth throughout the customer portfolio.
• Counsel clients on advertising initiatives and create campaigns that align with their goals and objectives.
• Communicate special promotions, offers, and new advertising options.
• Plan, organize, prepare for, and participate in tradeshows, events, and seminars.
• Generate reports for the sales director regarding achieved goals, target accounts, and meetings conducted.
• Share sales progress during bi-weekly team meetings.
• Evaluate products or services and provide recommendations on advertising requirements and the competitive landscape.
• Prepare or supervise reports, briefs, statistics, and presentations.
• Work in conjunction with the fulfillment team to implement customer programs.
• Review campaign effectiveness with relevant teams and ensure that programs meet client expectations.
• Identify opportunities for expanding customer programs based on evolving needs and new product introductions.
• Provide support to other sales teams when coverage is necessary.
• Organize territory sales operations utilizing the CRM system.
• Travel across the US to meet with clients and participate in industry trade shows.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Advertising, Sales, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in sales and marketing.
• Preference for candidates with advertising experience in the life science sector.
• Previous advertising experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with digital advertising or media sales is required.
• Exceptional communication skills, including professional phone and email interactions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience in pricing strategies and large-scale negotiations.
• Knowledge of science and/or laboratory equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Eagerness and capacity to learn quickly if lacking experience in scientific, B2B, or technical sales.
• Diligent, positive, goal-oriented, analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Willingness to travel within the US for client visits and attendance at industry trade shows.
• A passport is not required to apply, but it will be necessary for occasional travel.
