This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take ownership of the entire sales process, from outbound prospecting to contract negotiation and closure.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline through various methods including outbound outreach, referrals, conferences, strategic partnerships, networking, and inbound leads.
• Propel new revenue growth for Alpaca's institutional Broker API business throughout the United States.
• Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at fintech companies, broker-dealers, RIAs, wealth managers, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Grasp each prospect's business goals and technical needs to effectively position Alpaca's solutions.
• Provide persuasive product demonstrations, business presentations, and commercial proposals.
• Work closely with Solutions Engineering, Product, Integrations, Marketing, Customer Success, and Legal teams to facilitate the sales process efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of pipeline data, forecasts, and account activities within Salesforce (or other CRM tools).
• Regularly enhance sales messaging based on market feedback, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
• Represent Alpaca at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in sales at clearing broker-dealers OR significant experience in selling technology solutions to advisors or broker-dealers.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and fostering business growth.
• Established relationships within the US investment advisory and broker-dealer sectors.
• Experience in managing sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, including business, operations, compliance, and technical buyers.
• Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with a strong focus on pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a globally distributed remote work environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach and sense of responsibility.
• Must possess Series 7 certification.
