This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Create and implement detailed, long-term account strategies for significant critical infrastructure clients.

• Guide cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.

• Recognize, cultivate, and secure large-scale consulting and modernization projects by effectively communicating the essential value of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) (e.g., TCO reduction, enhanced security, operational excellence) for clients seeking to modernize outdated infrastructure or shift to hybrid cloud models.

• Build and sustain trusted-advisor relationships with key executives (CIOs, CTOs, and other C-level decision-makers), extending influence beyond IT infrastructure departments to shape long-term business strategies.

• Coordinate and oversee internal virtual teams—including Systems Engineers (SEs), Professional Services, Product Specialists, and Global Teams—to provide optimized, high-impact solutions for clients with intricate infrastructure needs.

• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver precise sales forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis to consistently achieve or surpass sales objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years of proven experience in direct (high-touch) enterprise sales, effectively managing large-scale, strategic accounts within the IT solution, software, or cloud service industries.

• Demonstrated experience selling to or collaborating with financial services, transportation, utilities, or telecommunications sectors.

• In-depth understanding of industry-specific compliance, stringent security requirements, and intricate procurement processes.

• Proven success in leading and finalizing multi-million dollar (hundreds of millions to billions of JPY) enterprise software, cloud, or infrastructure transactions.

• Established ability to deliver impactful executive presentations to CxO-level stakeholders and navigate complex internal/external political environments.
