Accessibility Test Analyst – Intermediate/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct accessibility evaluations of web applications, websites, PDFs, Word documents, forms, and various other digital assets.

• Create and implement accessibility test cases and comprehensive test plans.

• Detect, document, and monitor accessibility issues, aligning them with established accessibility standards and guidelines.

• Execute manual accessibility assessments utilizing screen readers and evaluation tools for accessibility.

• Work in partnership with developers, designers, and business teams to offer remediation strategies and promote accessibility best practices.

• Generate accessibility assessment reports and summaries of testing outcomes.

• Assist in ensuring accessibility compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on accessibility testing.

• In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA standards.

• Proven experience in testing document accessibility and ensuring compliance with EN 301 549 requirements.

• Practical experience with NVDA.

• Practical experience with WAVE.

• Practical experience with Axe DevTools.

• Practical experience with WCAG Colour Contrast Checkers.

• Practical experience with Color Blindness Emulators.

• Experience in conducting keyboard, screen reader, colour contrast, form, navigation, and document accessibility testing.

• Excellent skills in defect reporting, analysis, and communication.

• Familiarity with working in Agile delivery environments.
