• Facilitate the submission of quotes to off-net access vendors in response to customer requests.
• Collect, verify, and organize vendor quote replies, ensuring precision and compliance with internal formatting and documentation guidelines.
• Assist in both single-site and multi-site quoting initiatives, handling various diversity requests and both standard and ad-hoc access configurations.
• Validate and update vendor quoted services to meet post-sales requirements.
• Confirm and refresh systems with vendor details in preparation for post-sales ordering.
• Re-engage when vendor orders are at risk and provide alternative vendor solutions.
• Maintain precise pricing and quoting records within internal systems and tools.
• Monitor and organize vendor responses and performance metrics for pre-sales support and sourcing enhancement.
• Contribute to the maintenance of shared market intelligence databases, pricing catalogs, and quoting documentation.
• Engage in vendor performance evaluations, including the analysis of pre-sales quoting performance.
• Adhere to established quoting workflows and assist in identifying areas for improvement in speed, accuracy, and vendor reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Sales Engineering, and Carrier Relations to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of quotes.
• Participate in projects focused on automation, enhancements in quote formatting, or vendor onboarding documentation.
• Support quoting strategies aimed at reducing off-net access costs through strategic sourcing.
• Aid in analyzing vendor quote trends and identify potential areas for overpricing or cost-saving opportunities.
• A Bachelor's degree is necessary; preferred fields of study include Telecommunications, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business.
• One to three (1-3) years of experience in telecom quoting, supply chain operations, carrier management, or procurement.
• Familiarity with Type II (off-net) access providers and telecom quoting processes is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecom network services, including Ethernet and fiber access.
• Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools for data entry and analysis; experience with CRM or quoting software is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience and capability in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
