This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver exceptional administrative support to a specific School within the Faculty of Business and Innovation.
• Collaborate closely with academic leaders and key stakeholders.
• Work in partnership with the broader Faculty to ensure processes are consistent and efficient.
• Coordinate a variety of academic activities.
• Handle competing priorities effectively.
• Assist with academic projects and initiatives.
• Utilize digital tools to facilitate the smooth daily operations of the School.
• Organize meetings and events, which includes scheduling, taking minutes, and managing documentation.
• Track progress and follow up on action items.
• Oversee data and financial administration, including managing purchase orders and ensuring data accuracy.
• Foster a positive and collaborative working environment while contributing to the achievement of Faculty objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support within a professional setting, particularly for senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational abilities with a proven capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and a systematic approach.
• Capability to work independently.
• Initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Experience in coordinating meetings and events, including scheduling, minute-taking, and documentation management.
• Ability to monitor progress, follow up on actions, and manage data efficiently.
• Solid understanding of financial administration, including the ability to raise purchase orders and validate data accuracy.
• Experience in dealing with sensitive information and an understanding of data protection regulations, such as GDPR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, encompassing Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous experience in a similar role within higher education or educational institutions is desirable.
• Awareness of current issues affecting the higher education sector is a plus.
• Experience with SharePoint management and familiarity with VLE platforms is desirable.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK or be eligible through an alternative visa route; skilled worker visa sponsorship is not available.
