This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with internal sales and account management teams, as well as external national account clients.
• Offer valuable consulting expertise on complex Absence and Disability Management projects.
• Act as the primary liaison for our client service team regarding the delivery of specified work products, providing absence management subject matter expertise.
• Create and oversee project plans that involve multiple workflow streams and client teams.
• Manage the daily project deliverables, ensuring that the work product aligns with established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
• Set client team expectations and escalate pertinent issues to leadership for resolution.
• Collaborate with colleagues as necessary to understand the client’s broader business goals.
• Build a trusted advisor relationship with internal stakeholders through effective communication and efficient execution of projects.
• Participate in the creation of new resources, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, leave legislation, and vendor updates.
• Foster internal relationships and effectively collaborate on cross-functional teams.
• BA or BS degree.
• 12-15+ years of experience and success in designing/managing group disability and absence management plans in a consulting, brokerage, or large employer (10,000+ lives) environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated success in handling client issues and relationships; experience in expanding relationships with existing clients is a plus.
• Ability to assess client absence and leave programs and provide comprehensive recommendations based on knowledge of federal and state regulations as well as leave program designs.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Adaptability and a demonstrated capability to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience training and mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to see the "big picture," leveraging resources from related practices to tackle clients' business challenges.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client and prospect meetings.
• Consulting experience is mandatory.
