This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Carry out navigational watch-standing and deck operational responsibilities as directed.
• Perform maintenance and operational tasks throughout the vessel as part of a versatile crew.
• Assist with loading, unloading, standby, and general operations of the vessel.
• Execute cleaning, preservation, and upkeep of deck equipment and areas.
• Safely handle onboard tools, equipment, and vessel systems within designated duties.
• Adhere to and encourage safe work practices, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Engage in emergency response drills, safety meetings, and activities to ensure vessel readiness.
• Stay knowledgeable about emergency procedures and assigned Muster List obligations.
• Aid in fire prevention, firefighting, man overboard, and abandon ship protocols.
• Identify and report hazards, near misses, and non-conformities to vessel management.
• Assist with the implementation of the vessel's Business Management System (BMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).
• Ensure that written and verbal instructions are clearly understood and executed properly.
• Foster effective teamwork and collaboration among vessel departments.
• Promote client and crew welfare during vessel operations.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support vessel operations and mission needs.
• Possession of a valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) endorsed as Able Seaman suitable for vessel requirements.
• Valid STCW endorsements relevant to vessel operations.
• Current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Up-to-date U.S. Coast Guard medical certificate.
• Experience in operational vessel deck activities and seamanship.
• Understanding of maritime safety protocols and emergency response standards.
• Capability to work rotational schedules in maritime settings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Capacity to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
