Abacus Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct well-structured Abacus classes – Provide clear and engaging sessions that encompass both foundational and advanced abacus and mental math techniques.

• Develop cognitive skills – Assist students in enhancing their memory, focus, and numerical abilities through visual learning and mental calculation methods.

• Design lesson plans – Create organized and age-appropriate content tailored to various learning levels.

• Monitor student progress – Regularly assess student performance and offer personalized feedback and encouragement.

• Facilitate practice sessions – Motivate students to engage in regular exercises, activities, and problem-solving challenges.

• Maintain a positive learning environment – Cultivate an atmosphere that promotes learning, participation, and ongoing improvement.

• Adapt teaching approaches – Modify lessons to meet the diverse needs, pace, and styles of individual learners.

• A degree in any discipline (a background in mathematics or education is advantageous).

• Certification in abacus training or relevant teaching experience (preferred).

• Expertise in mental math and abacus techniques.

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational role is desirable.

• Strong communication skills with the capacity to simplify complex concepts.

• Patience, consistency, and a learner-centered approach.

• A reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional teaching environment.

• Ability to effectively conduct online sessions using Zoom.
