This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ You provide practical training on the fundamentals of 3D scanning, emphasizing mechanical engineering.
β’ You instruct on the complete Scan-to-CAD process: 3D scanning β point cloud β mesh β reverse engineering β CAD model β technical drawing β manufacturing.
β’ You oversee project work involving real components to ensure relevant practical experience.
β’ You incorporate current technologies and industrial applications into your teaching.
β’ You assist participants in effectively applying their knowledge in practice, including in a virtual classroom setting.
β’ Essential: a technical vocational qualification or degree, such as in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product development, or surveying.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in 3D scanning, reverse engineering, or digital data capture.
β’ Strong understanding of various scanning technologies (e.g., laser, structured light, or handheld scanners).
β’ Proficiency in handling point clouds, mesh data, and common file formats (STL, OBJ, PLY, STEP).
β’ Experience in preparing and post-processing scan data.
β’ Practical experience in integrating scan data into CAD systems.
β’ Background in reverse engineering technical parts and assemblies.
β’ Good knowledge of technical drawings and engineering principles.
β’ Experience in adult education or training delivery.
β’ Strong proficiency in tools such as Artec Studio, Geomagic (Design X/Warp), PolyWorks, VXelements, or FARO Scene.
β’ Familiarity with at least one CAD system (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, or NX).
β’ Understanding of metrology, quality standards, and data evaluation.
β’ Ability to evaluate scan results for accuracy and practicality.
β’ Experience with hands-on workflows and project-based learning.
β’ Interest in subjects like Digital Twin, digitization, and Scan-to-CAD.
β’ Nice-to-have: certifications from scanner or software manufacturers.
β’ Experience in optical metrology or quality assurance.
β’ Knowledge of 3D printing/additive manufacturing.
β’ Experience with mobile mapping, drone scanning, or large-scale scanning projects.
β’ Exposure to AI, BIM, or AR/VR technologies.
β’ Experience in delivering online training sessions.
