3D Electrical Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and revise comprehensive engineering drawings utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.

• Design and update REVIT families and integrate them into projects.

• Comprehend national standards for AutoCAD.

• Conduct internal assessments and clash detection using NAVISWORK or REVIT.

• Execute peer reviews for fellow designers.

• Carry out site walkdowns for clients and produce walkdown reports.

• Collaborate with Engineering and other designers to understand design concepts.

• Perform self-assessments of drawings, sketches, and associated data.

• Review the work of other designers/drafters while offering mentorship and leadership.

• Engage in internal communication with engineers and designers.

• Adhere to organizational, departmental, and client protocols, safety policies, and guidelines.

• Achieve the time objectives set for the position/discipline.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least 1 year of design engineering experience, OR an Associate’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 years of design engineering experience, OR a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in both 2D and 3D design software.

• Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is essential.

• Familiarity with BIM360 is preferred.

• Basic understanding of engineering techniques, principles, standards, and concepts relevant to the assigned engineering discipline.

• Competent in foundational concepts of other disciplines as they pertain to the assigned discipline.

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Knowledge of electrical design codes, standards, criteria, and execution of designs.

• Willingness to travel 10–15% of the time.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

• Required to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record evaluations.
