2nd Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Tasked with overseeing the Engine room team to guarantee the efficient operation of engines and machinery equipment.

• Become a part of the growing fleet at Columbia Shipmanagement.

• Operate under contract terms and conditions as stipulated by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in repairs and dry docking is essential.

• Must possess valid STCW certifications required for the role.

• Proficient communication skills in English are necessary.

• A minimum of 12 months of experience in the rank with the Engine type (MAN B&W 2 stroke) is required.

• Familiarity with electronic engines is considered an advantage.

• Significant experience on large cruise ships operating on global itineraries is needed.

• Experience in the USA trading area is preferred.

• Must hold a valid national Certificate of Competency (COC) and a C1/D US Visa.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities are required.

• A commitment to safety culture and mindset is essential.

• Experience working in a multicultural environment is beneficial.
