1st Officer, Cruise Ship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the Certificates for Statutory Deck equipment on vessels to ensure they are current, and notifying the Staff Captain of any that require renewal.

• Delivering training on Deck Officer Duty and familiarization with hazardous materials for the Deck Department.

• Supporting the Staff Captain with scheduling, planning, and management of Deck maintenance, inspections, and surveys as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as per STCW Regulation II/2, with verification.

• Required STCW certifications applicable to the role.

• Strong understanding of the ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other relevant maritime regulations.

• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management abilities.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous and encouraged.

• A commitment to safety culture and mindset.

• Experience in a multicultural work environment.

• Significant experience in the same rank on large cruise ships featuring Azipod propulsion systems.

• Experience with global itineraries.
