10-11th Grade Math Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Instructors will become part of SEO’s community of dedicated educators tasked with delivering a challenging college-preparatory curriculum for ambitious high school Scholars.

• By utilizing our proprietary curriculum and a student-focused teaching and learning methodology, instructors play a crucial role in guiding our Scholars towards competitive college admissions and future success.

• Additionally, instructors foster deep comprehension and skill development by acting as coaches and facilitators of the learning process.

• SEO North Carolina operates as a bichronous program for Scholars, with all lesson instruction conducted entirely online via Zoom.

• Instructors will be assigned based on their self-reported proficiency and the outcome of demo lessons.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant content area.

• Teaching certification, experience in K-12 classroom settings, and/or experience teaching at the college or university level.

• Access to a dependable personal laptop. Seasonal instructors must have a device that meets essential technology requirements to perform all instructional and administrative tasks.

• Experience working with high school students.

• Proficiency in navigating technological learning platforms.

• Strong expertise and thorough understanding of advanced high school-level English and Humanities subjects.

• A willingness to participate in discussions analyzing the historical and ongoing causes of societal issues and challenges.

• A solid grasp of and commitment to student-centered pedagogical practices.

• Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

• Certifications, professional development course completions, and/or advanced education in Instructional Technologies.
