10-11th Grade ELA Associate Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Associate Instructors will become part of SEO’s dedicated community of educators, tasked with delivering a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum for motivated high school students.

• By utilizing our original curriculum and employing a student-focused teaching methodology, Associate Instructors play a vital role in guiding our Scholars on their path to competitive colleges and beyond.

• Associate Instructors enhance understanding and skill development by acting as coaches and learning facilitators.

• Collaborating with Instructors, Associate Instructors assist in classroom instruction, conduct mini lessons, organize small group sessions and one-on-one tutoring, and offer additional support to Scholars.

• Associate Instructors are not responsible for grading.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant content area.

• Possession of a teaching certification, along with K-12 classroom teaching experience and/or experience at the college or university level.

• Proven experience with high school-aged students.

• Proficient in navigating technological learning platforms.

• Strong expertise and knowledge in advanced high school-level English and Humanities subjects.

• A willingness to engage in discussions that analyze the historical and ongoing causes of societal issues and challenges.

• Access to a reliable personal laptop. Seasonal instructors must ensure they have a device that meets the essential technology requirements to fulfill all instructional and administrative responsibilities.
