1 on 1 AMC Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct personalized online math lessons emphasizing preparation for the AMC 8 and AMC 10 competitions.

• Instruct in English utilizing interactive and problem-solving techniques to enhance students' analytical and logical reasoning abilities.

• Assist students in navigating competition-style questions while clarifying essential concepts and strategies used in math contests.

• Aid students in forming systematic methodologies for frequently encountered competition math subjects, including number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry.

• Encourage students to build confidence and develop effective strategies for test-taking in math competitions.

• Offer prompt feedback and tailored guidance to foster student comprehension and ongoing progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferred majors include Math, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.

• Prior experience in math competitions or related teaching/tutoring experience is highly desirable.

• A robust foundation in mathematics; familiarity with competitions such as AMC, AIME, or MathCounts is an advantage.

• Availability for work during weekday evenings and weekends.

• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
