1 on 1 AMC 10 Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Conduct individualized online math lessons aimed at preparing students for AMC 8 and AMC 10 competitions.

• Instruct in English using interactive teaching methods and problem-solving techniques to cultivate students' analytical and logical reasoning abilities.

• Assist students in navigating competition-style problems while elucidating essential concepts and strategies utilized in math competitions.

• Aid students in developing systematic methods for tackling common mathematical topics encountered in competitions, including number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry.

• Empower students to gain confidence and develop effective strategies for test-taking in math competitions.

• Deliver prompt feedback and focused guidance to enhance student comprehension and promote ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferences are given to candidates with majors in Math, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.

• Previous experience in math competitions or relevant teaching/tutoring experience is strongly preferred.

• A solid foundation in mathematics; familiarity with competitions such as AMC, AIME, or MathCounts is advantageous.

• Availability to work on weekday evenings and weekends is essential.

• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
