YouTube Video Editor – Long-Form

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Edit long-form, documentary-style videos designed for YouTube, emphasizing storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement.

• Enhance the pacing of cuts, voiceover timing, and pauses to create a captivating narrative flow.

• Collaborate with pre-rendered 3D sequences, integrating them smoothly into the edit as per the provided guidelines.

• Obtain high-quality, relevant stock footage as necessary, and creatively weave it into the narrative to support the storyline.

• Design immersive transitions and captivating visual elements that enhance the overall viewing experience.

• Implement color correction to maintain consistency between stock footage and 3D segments.

• Work closely with Directors to ensure alignment on narrative structure, tone, and creative vision.

• Incorporate motion design elements, either supplied or created independently depending on your skill set.

• Perform basic sound design tasks, including audio cleanup, mixing, and balancing.

• Maintain consistency in style, tone, and branding across all video content.

• Deliver high-quality edits within strict deadlines to support a reliable publishing schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in editing YouTube content, preferably in documentary-style or narrative-focused formats.

• Strong grasp of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention strategies.

• Capability to source and curate high-quality stock footage that enhances the narrative.

• Keen attention to visual coherence, particularly when merging different media types (stock and 3D).

• Familiarity with color correction techniques and establishing a consistent visual aesthetic.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality and clarity in storytelling.

• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit when working with creative teams.

• A solid portfolio demonstrating relevant YouTube or long-form projects.

• Comfortable creating or modifying motion graphics as needed (bonus, not mandatory).

• Bonus: Experience in sound design and audio post-production.
