This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engaging in roleplaying scenarios involving youth and AI agents
• Conducting red teaming to address youth safety edge cases, inappropriate content, and potential model failures
• Recognizing indicators of distress, vulnerability, coercion, grooming, or negative influences
• Assessing AI responses for suitability regarding age, tone, clarity, and harm prevention
• Rating and reviewing AI models to ensure compliance with youth safety and policy standards
• Creating behavioral taxonomies, personas, and evaluation criteria tailored for children and adolescents
• Performing qualitative analysis on AI conversations that involve youth users
• Offering expert insights on internal youth safety and child protection policies
• Collaborating with engineers, researchers, and safety teams to implement youth-specific safety measures
• Documenting edge cases, emerging risks, and cultural trends that affect youth safety
• Upholding strict confidentiality, quality assurance standards, and ethical guidelines
• Participating in interdisciplinary review and calibration sessions
• Background in education, child development, youth services, psychology, social work, or a related field OR extensive, demonstrated knowledge of youth gaming and online culture
• Experience engaging with children, adolescents, or teen communities (formal or informal)
• Strong grasp of age-appropriate communication, boundaries, and principles of youth safety
• Familiarity with online platforms, gaming ecosystems, or digital spaces aimed at youth
• Comfort in evaluating conversational content and complex social interactions
• Ability to work remotely with tools like Slack, LLM applications, and Google Docs
• Strong ethical judgment with a keen focus on safety, consent, and power dynamics
• Willingness to sign non-disclosure agreements and engage with sensitive or youth-related content
• Availability for up to 10 hours per week and occasional scheduled meetings
• Professional experience in K–12 education, higher education, or informal educational environments
• Proficiency in English and at least one additional language
• Experience in child safety, trust and safety, moderation, or community management
• Familiarity with gaming culture, livestreaming platforms, or esports communities
• Experience working with marginalized or vulnerable youth demographics
• Background in youth mental health, crisis response, or preventive measures against online harm
• Experience with content moderation, behavioral labeling, or policy enforcement
• Interest in AI safety, online risks, or digital well-being
• Experience in participating or moderating online communities (e.g., Discord, Twitch, Reddit)
• Strong cultural awareness of evolving youth trends, slang, and social norms
