Workflow Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Convert solution designs and client specifications into comprehensive workflows utilizing gaiia’s workflow builder.

• Develop orchestration logic (including conditions, retries, fallbacks, compensations, and parallel processes) to manage real-world edge cases and partial failures.

• Create reusable workflow templates and patterns to ensure scalability of implementations across various customers and vendors.

• Write TypeScript code for steps (such as data transformations, validations, and custom logic) while maintaining clean and testable workflows.

• Take ownership of workflow outcomes from start to finish: from discovery handoff, through implementation, rollout, and ongoing support.

• Diagnose issues in production workflow executions using logs and metrics, and enhance workflows based on actual incidents and client feedback.

• Guide clients on best practices for workflows, including self-service, capability boundaries, and managing expectations.

• Shape the Workflow Builder’s roadmap by communicating recurring needs (such as new integrations, SDK enhancements, UI features, etc.).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering) or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Network Engineer, or in a similar technical position within the broader B2B SaaS sector.

• Solid software development fundamentals (TypeScript/JavaScript is mandatory).

• Outstanding presentation and communication abilities, capable of conveying technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Competence in transforming vague customer or operational requirements into clear, testable, and supportable implementations.

• Self-driven, proactive, and focused on results, with a strong enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
