Workers' Compensation Referrals Coordinator – Orthopedics Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare, submit, and monitor RFAs (Requests for Authorization)

• Oversee the entire process of workers' compensation referrals

• Follow up on outstanding authorizations and referral requests

• Coordinate patient appointments once authorization is obtained

• Upload referral requests along with necessary documentation

• Update case details and notes in ModMed

• Input charges associated with referral requests

• Communicate effectively with insurance carriers, adjusters, third-party administrators, patients, and healthcare providers

• Maintain organization of cases to ensure smooth progress and prevent oversights

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in California Workers' Compensation — mandatory

• Previous role as a Workers' Comp Referrals Coordinator

• Proficient in preparing, submitting, and tracking RFAs

• Strong knowledge of the California workers' compensation referral and authorization process

• Experience collaborating with insurance companies, adjusters, third-party administrators, patients, and providers

• Preferred experience with ModMed

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus

• Experience in a California-based medical practice is preferred
