This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +36 more states.
• Examine coverage, liability, and damages on intricate casualty claim cases involving serious injuries and multiple parties.
• Conduct recorded statements, consult with police and experts, assess property damage, and analyze medical records.
• Assess liability and damage exposure, including bodily injury and property damage.
• Establish and modify reserves based on findings from investigations.
• Oversee pre-suit and litigation claims with external counsel, including mediations, depositions, and various litigation activities.
• Recognize and report potential subrogation or fraud indicators.
• Ensure clear and precise documentation of claim files in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
• Take ownership of claims from the initial notice of loss to resolution.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance the speed and accuracy of claims processing.
• Optimize operational processes to deliver precise and timely claim results.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in adjusting liability property claims, including bodily injury and property damage.
• Direct experience with claims represented by attorneys or those that have gone to litigation.
• Familiarity with various state insurance laws and adherence to good faith claims handling practices.
• Holding active adjuster licenses in the required states, or the ability to obtain them within a specified timeframe.
• Capability to manage a high-volume caseload with competing deadlines.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution competencies in claim settlement situations.
• A data-driven, analytical perspective on evaluating liability and damages.
• Previous experience with an insurance carrier is advantageous.
• Must be able to reside and work full-time in one of the designated eligible U.S. states.
• Must possess authorization to work for any employer in the United States, with sponsorship requirements detailed during the application process.
